You might think that when your underground, buried or obstructed pipes are damaged or blocked it means you’ll need a full excavation team to dig up the area to reach and repair the problem.
But using the latest pipe relining technology, the team at Emu. can have your pipes repaired quickly without any trenching or destruction.
Pipe relining is the process of inserting an appropriate inner lining into the affected pipe with incredibly strong silicate or epoxy resin into a damaged pipe. This pipe repair strategy can be either a short patch liner to reline a small section of broken pipe or an inversion liner, which is a seamless liner that can be run up to 50 metres in one piece (longer if needed!).
Put simply, we’ll insert a brand new pipe within the damaged pipe to repair any damage, cracks or leaks in your plumbing.
We know that our pipe relining is strong and durable enough to last the lifetime of a brand new pipe. So we’re proud to offer a 20 year guarantee on all our pipe relining workmanship. To maintain this guarantee we recommend annual drain inspections so you can be assured your drainage is staying in top shape.
The pipe relining product brands we use carry a 50 year guarantee on their pipe relining products.

It starts with pipesThe first thing we do on-site is determine the exact location of the block or damage and what causes it. This way, we’ll know the scope of the project and how best to fix it. We do this using CCTV pipe inspection technology.
Water jetting or drain machine cleaningSecondly, we’ll clean your pipes out using our water jetter, eel or picote machine to clear your pipes of any dirt or blockages. We use the latest technology in water jetting that will cut out any debris or roots that may be growing in your pipes.
Pipe reliningOnce your pipes are clean, we’ll insert a flexible silicate or epoxy resin-infused liner into the pipes using air. Then we set this using air pressure along with water and air temperature. This relines the pipe to create a completely new, watertight and strong pipe within the old one.
Our techniques and technology mean that you’ll have minimum disruption to your property or business – and reduced costs. This trenchless approach is also used by Urban Utilities to rehabilitate ageing and damaged sewer pipes across Brisbane without traditional excavation.
Our sophisticated pipe relining technology means that we can work with drainage pipes as small as 50mm diameter to as large as 300mm diameter. We can safely reline materials such as PVC, DWV, SWV, HDPE (plastic), earthenware, concrete, cast iron, fibro (asbestos) or steel. We can even insert a liner in out-of-round piping if required!
Because of the materials used, not only is the end result incredibly strong, but during the pipe relining process, it’s flexible enough to adapt to 45 or 90 degree bends without reducing the integrity of the lining.
Get a view from the inside! See what we see with CCTV footage of the newly relined pipe to learn exactly how our liners fuse with existing pipes to create an incredibly strong inner pipe that can last as long as a brand new pipe!
